Kayleigh Thies Claudia Theriault For the first time since 2000, two Muhlenberg players were selected to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association all-region team.

Senior Kayleigh Thies was named to the All-South Region first team for the second year in a row, while sophomore Claudia Theriault earned second-team honors.

Thies (left) is the first Mule to land on the all-region first team more than once. A unanimous All-Centennial Conference first-team selection for the second year in a row, she led the Mules with 28 points on 10 goals and eight assists. The 2013 third-team All-American finished her career second in program history with 101 career points and holds the school record for career assists (27).

Theriault (right) is the first Muhlenberg sophomore to receive all-region recognition since 2002. A first-team All-CC pick, she anchored a Mule defense that allowed more than two goals only once in 18 games and ranks 24th in Division III in goals-against average. Theriault led the Mules with four defensive saves.

Muhlenberg finished the year with a 12-6 record (its most wins in seven years), tied the school record for CC wins in a season (seven), received votes in the national poll for five straight weeks late in the season and earned a bid to the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Tournament.
