All-CC women's soccer Three upperclassmen on the Muhlenberg women’s soccer team were selected to the All-Centennial Conference team for the first time in their careers.

Senior Colleen Touhey was a first-team selection, while juniors Taylor Pini and Jen Mermelstein earned second-team honors.

Touhey (above left) has started every game at center midfield and is second on the Mules with 11 points on four goals and three assists. She scored goals in back-to-back CC games against Haverford and Franklin & Marshall during a four-game winning streak that propelled Muhlenberg into the playoffs.

Touhey leads active Mule players with 23 career points.

Pini (above center) leads Muhlenberg and is tied for 10th in the CC with 14 points on six goals and two assists. The flank player put pressure on opposing defenses all year with her speed. She has scored four game-winning goals, including one in overtime against Moravian.

Mermelstein (above right) is second in the CC with an .852 save percentage. In her first season as a full-time starter, she recorded shutouts in five of her 10 starts and allowed more than one goal only three times. Mermelstein’s high of 12 saves came in an overtime win against eventual CC champion Swarthmore.

Muhlenberg finished fourth in the CC in the regular season and will take its 11-6-2 record into tonight’s ECAC South Tournament home game against Wilkes.
